About this role
Are you looking to experience job satisfaction, professional pride, and a sense of belonging? Do you want to contribute to people's health? Then you should work with us!
Your Workplace
The Surgical Clinic at Centralsjukhuset in Karlstad offers a wide range of care, including inpatient wards, surgical clinics, urology clinics, breast center, and endoscopy unit.
Our endoscopy unit is one of Sweden's finest, where both planned and urgent examinations, as well as advanced gastrointestinal interventions, are performed during daytime.
The enthusiastic team consists of around twenty competent employees from various professional backgrounds who enjoy working together and support each other. A familial yet professional atmosphere permeates the operation, and we often hear from both patients and trainees that they have felt well-received and cared for.
We have a clear development focus with an emphasis on quality and regularly conduct colonoscopy technique training for physicians and endoscopists from across Sweden. A few years ago, we also received assistance from a specialist from Japan for a targeted training initiative in ESD.
Your Responsibilities
Responsibilities include performing diagnostic endoscopic examinations and various gastrointestinal interventions. Administrative tasks such as assessing referrals, participating in polyp conferences, and assisting with consultation matters are also included.
We now need to expand our medical team and are seeking a specialist physician who wants to work full-time in endoscopy. On-call duties may occur but can be discussed on an individual basis.
The position is a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are seeking a specialist physician in surgery or gastroenterology with several years of endoscopy experience. You need to communicate effectively in both Swedish and English.
We place great importance on personal qualities, where a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused care is essential. It is prerequisite that you function well in a team and can make independent decisions. A solution-oriented approach is highly valued. Other appreciated qualities include openness, drive, and a positive attitude, and we particularly welcome an interest in operational development.
Do you love endoscopy and recognize these qualities? Are you longing to work in excellent facilities with colleagues who experience great job satisfaction? Then you should definitely apply!
Interviews will be conducted continuously throughout the application period.
