We are Uppsala University Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer services to two million people in Central Sweden. There is always something happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother undergoes surgery, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. Welcome with your application!
Our Operations
We work in a line-based manner and are now offering a position as a specialist physician in clinical pathology. You will be one of approximately 40 pathologists within the Clinical Pathology section of the Academic Laboratory. The Academic Laboratory comprises five sections with nearly 700 employees, of which about 125 work in the Clinical Pathology section. The operation is diagnostically subspecialized with a well-functioning diagnostic and research and development unit, in close collaboration with, among others, Uppsala University.
Your Mission
To perform diagnostic work and development within clinical pathology and/or cytology, with a focus depending on your background and the needs of the clinic. The tasks also include development work, participation in clinical rounds, and supervision of resident physicians. Working at a university hospital may require participation in ongoing research projects.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in clinical pathology and/or cytology. Knowledge in breast pathology is particularly meritorious. We view academic qualifications as an asset in a university hospital.
The work places high demands on interaction with other colleagues in clinical pathology, as well as with employees in other disciplines within the framework of multidisciplinary work, which is why good collaboration skills and humility are considered valuable personal traits for the role. Personal qualities may therefore be prioritized over other merits. Expert review will be conducted for the assessment of senior and associate senior physicians.
We Offer
Permanent employment. Full-time. Start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applied if deemed necessary. Job interviews may be conducted continuously during the application period.
With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
