About Us Youth clinics are for all young people aged 13 to 24. All clinics are LGBTQ-certified and operate according to a joint Collaboration Agreement for the Västra Götaland region and its 49 municipalities. The youth clinics of Region Health are continuously developing their services to provide high-quality care in mental, psychosocial, as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The youth clinics are a low-threshold service where young people can easily seek help and support. We offer high accessibility and provide youth with person-centered care. The youth clinics in Region Health are located throughout Västra Götaland and complement the region's other health and medical services. In Fyrbodal, we have 15 youth clinics and a Young Men's Clinic located in Trollhättan. Mini-Maria is an integrated outpatient clinic for youth up to 21 years old at risk of harmful use or dependence on alcohol, drugs, or gambling. Mini-Maria's mission is to be an easily accessible clinic where young people and their relatives can come for advice, support, and treatment, either on their own initiative or after referral. The service is operated in collaboration between municipalities and Region Health. The medical staff comes from Region Health, while the psychosocial staff comes from the municipalities. In Fyrbodal, we have two main clinics, one in Trollhättan and one in Uddevalla, in addition to branch clinics in eight other municipalities. About the Job As a physician at the youth clinics, you will work with direct patient contact involving assessments, diagnostics, referrals, and be part of the team consulting on medical and psychosocial issues. You will also participate in physician meetings, competency-enhancing initiatives, and improvement work. At Mini-Maria, you will work in a cross-professional team focusing on assessments, diagnostics, referrals, and consultations. The focus is on young people with risky behavior, often in combination with mild mental health issues. In cases of comorbidity or established substance abuse, the young person will be referred further. About You We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine. Other relevant specialist training related to the services is also acceptable. As a person, you have a good understanding of young people's biological and psychological development. Experience in sexology, gynecology, andrology, psychiatry, and addiction issues is advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have experience working with youth and young adults. We hope you are interested in working in outpatient care. Additionally, it is important that you are flexible and engaged. You enjoy teamwork and are good at collaborating and communicating. You also maintain a professional attitude towards patients and other team members. Conditions The position involves work at several clinics in at least three different locations: Uddevalla, Trollhättan, and Vänersborg.
