Make a difference. Every day. We are now seeking a specialist physician/associate chief physician or chief physician in clinical pathology to be based in Malmö. The area of operation (VO) for Clinical Genetics, Pathology, and Molecular Diagnostics consists of over 400 employees and includes three sections representing the medical specialties of Clinical Genetics and Clinical Pathology, as well as the methodological area/platform of Molecular Diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by strong development in both technical and medical possibilities, alongside an increasing demand for our diagnostics. We have Clinical Pathology services in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, while Clinical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics are primarily located in Lund. We conduct both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics and provide specialized expertise and consultation services within the southern healthcare region. Our operations also include the Center for Rare Diagnoses (CSD). We maintain a close collaboration with Lund University, and several of our employees are engaged in successful research related to our operations. JOB DESCRIPTION Our diagnostics are driven and developed through 18 processes, with histological diagnostics conducted via digital imaging, and the digitization of cytological diagnostics is underway. Molecular pathology is an everyday part of the pathologist's diagnostics, and analyses are conducted within the framework of the Laboratory Medicine Center for Molecular Diagnostics. We actively participate in quality and care program work, both regionally and nationally, and operate a service that is accredited in selected areas, accompanied by quality assurance of laboratory work, diagnostics, and document management. Training of students, supervision of residents, and research are integral parts of our operations, and therefore also part of your role as a specialist physician. QUALIFICATIONS For employment as a specialist physician, the following must be met: - Medical license with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. - Specialist competence in clinical pathology. - Completed or planned course in clinical supervision. - Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's language scale. For employment as an associate chief physician, the following must be met: - Full-time service of at least 5 years (documented effective time). - Clinical skill and independence in clinical pathology and independence in the primary specialty relevant to the position beyond the obtained specialist competence. - Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area. - Completed or planned clinical supervisor training. - Documented teaching and supervision qualifications. For employment as a chief physician, the following must be met: - Full-time service of at least 5 years (documented effective time). - Clinical skill and independence in clinical pathology and independence in the primary specialty relevant to the position beyond the obtained specialist competence. - Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area. - Completed or planned clinical supervisor training. - Documented teaching and supervision qualifications. - Doctorate.
