Are you a specialist physician in medical radiology or imaging and functional medicine? We are currently seeking five specialist physicians/assistant consultants/consultants for Radiology Solna. About the position At the Medical Unit Radiology Solna, we conduct highly specialized diagnostics and treatment in abdominal, thoracic, trauma, and musculoskeletal radiology, as well as interventional radiology and ultrasound. The Breast Center Solna is also part of our operations. We have a comprehensive emergency assignment with round-the-clock operations and an intensive emergency department in Solna. We conduct extensive research—both clinical studies in collaboration with referring units and our own methodological research. Radiology Solna consists of approximately 200 employees, primarily physicians and nursing staff. The operations are divided into sections where you will have your primary employment, but you also have the opportunity for additional duties in other sections based on your interests, competencies, and the needs of the operations. The Trauma Center Karolinska is the country's largest unit for the care of severely injured patients. This means that on-call duties are included in the position, regardless of which section you primarily belong to. We are looking for someone who: - Collaborates well with other professions and is stimulated by interdisciplinary work. - Acts with the patient in focus and has an empathetic approach. - Sees the whole picture and considers the broader perspective. You understand your role but prioritize the best interests of the entire operation. - Is interested in the development of the operations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. Qualifications Requirements: - Swedish medical license and specialist certificate in Radiology or Imaging and Functional Medicine. Meritorious: - Experience in highly specialized radiological work. - Experience in subspecialized radiology. - Doctorate in the field. - Active in research or a strong interest in research. About the recruitment process Expert assessment is a prerequisite for obtaining a specialist physician position at Karolinska University Hospital, where the position level is determined based on the applicant's qualifications. Criteria for specialist physician positions at Karolinska University Hospital: - An assistant consultant position requires at least three years of full-time clinical service. - A consultant position requires at least five years of full-time clinical service in the main specialty beyond the obtained specialist competence, as well as a defined medical responsibility and knowledge area, along with documented teaching and supervision merits. A doctorate is also required for a consultant position.
