Ward 6 provides care under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) for patients who can manage an open-door environment and do not require increased supervision. The unit works with a clear pedagogical approach where daily activity groups are a significant component. The development of this work is ongoing with the aim of providing meaningful and impactful care. The unit has sixteen care beds, with one designated for acute patients from our Advanced Psychiatry at Home (APIH) unit and two currently reserved for admissions from the Adult Psychiatry (VUP) Kristianstad area. The unit staffs senior physicians, doctors in training (basic AT/BT and specialized ST), and locum physicians. There is a unit manager, full nursing staff, nursing assistants, medical secretary, counselor, peer support, and access to an occupational therapist. The work is conducted in collaboration with outpatient services located in the same building. As VUP Lund is a University Unit, an HFS examination will be conducted according to established routine before job placement. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a specialist/senior physician who wants to help drive the unit's development forward. As a specialist/senior physician, you will primarily diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established clinical experience. You will often encounter complex and interesting care paths where your expertise offers significant opportunities to make a difference for patients. A key part of your work involves being active in teaching medical students, junior doctors, AT doctors, and ST doctors. We value a good work environment and actively work to maintain it. QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must be licensed physicians authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you should have specialist competence in psychiatry. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 on the Council of Europe scale are required. You should have completed or planned a clinical supervision course. For senior physician positions, you must also have: - Full-time service of at least three years (documented effective time) - Clinical proficiency and independence in psychiatry - Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area - Documented teaching and supervision credentials We seek a confident and attentive person who easily builds trust with both patients and colleagues. You communicate clearly and pedagogically and can simply convey knowledge and information. In your work, you are also structured and can prioritize effectively when required. Personal suitability is heavily weighted in the selection process. At a university healthcare unit, physicians must have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervision of nursing and medical students, doctors in training, and as co-or main supervisor of doctoral candidates.
