Your Workplace Imaging and Functional Diagnostics (BFD) in Värmland is a dynamic and technologically advanced operation encompassing radiology, mammography, and clinical physiology. Radiology clinics are located in five towns in Värmland: Arvika, Karlstad, Kristinehamn, Säffle, and Torsby. As a radiologist with us, you'll be part of a team consisting of 25 specialists/senior physicians and 15 residents in the county. The operation is collectively organized with an overarching manager, scheduler, and coordinator. In Arvika, Karlstad, and Torsby, operations run 24/7, while Kristinehamn and Säffle primarily operate during weekday daytime hours. Your Responsibilities As a radiologist with us, you'll work on image review and examination in both acute and elective general radiology. Tasks vary and include rounds, multidisciplinary conferences (MDK), continuing education, and supervision of residents and rotating colleagues. On-call service during evenings and weekends is included by agreement, with external review via Teleconsult during nighttime, both on weekdays and weekends. Your primary location will be in Kristinehamn, but work at other hospitals in the county may occur by agreement. Remote work opportunities exist to the extent the operation allows. We work with Sectra RIS/PACS and have county-wide work lists, creating close collegial collaboration between radiologists across the region. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking candidates with Swedish medical licensure and specialist competence in radiology and good Swedish language skills. You should have experience with conventional X-ray, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and basic ultrasound intervention. Competence in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is meritorious but not required. We value professionals who are communicative and have good collaborative abilities.
