At the eye clinic at Centralsjukhuset in Kristianstad, we work with both acute and planned care, as well as outpatient surgeries. Our staff consists of over seventy employees, including nine specialist and senior physicians, nine residents, ophthalmic nurses, registered nurses, orthoptists, opticians, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and administrators. We operate in five interdisciplinary teams where every employee is given the opportunity to deepen their special interests and engage in an active exchange of knowledge, which helps us stay at the forefront in several subspecialties.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We welcome two specialist/senior physicians with areas of expertise in glaucoma and pediatric ophthalmology, respectively.
At our eye clinic, an active change process is underway, driven by engagement across all professional groups. We work in a team-based manner, where the teams continuously develop and improve. In your role as a specialist/senior physician, you will manage both specialized and general ophthalmological cases, as well as supervise residents and junior doctors. You will also participate in the clinic's on-call duties, which take place on weekdays until 5:00 PM and on weekends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek a licensed physician with specialist competence in ophthalmology and authorization to practice in the Swedish healthcare system. We prefer candidates who are subspecialized and/or have experience in glaucoma or pediatric ophthalmology. Your proficiency in the Swedish language should be at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Experience with ultrasound, strabismus surgeries, and treatment of corneal and uveal diseases is an advantage.
