Specialist in Water/Drainage Systems

Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute your expertise in water and drainage systems for both road and rail projects. The issues you'll work on often span from early planning to design, implementation, and operational phases. The position offers significant variation and requires both a comprehensive perspective and the ability to identify details that impact project execution. You will be a crucial link between project management, other technical areas, and suppliers.
There is an opportunity to take on broader responsibilities by coordinating related technical domains and working closely with project management to support project implementation.
You will also have the chance to participate in strategic work such as developing regulations, technical investigations, research and development projects, standardization, monitoring industry trends, and representing the Swedish Transport Administration in relevant industry organizations.
Example tasks include:
• Supporting project and design management with technical water/drainage issues throughout the project process
• Participating in design meetings, technical meetings, and consultation meetings with external parties
• Ensuring requirements are met in water/drainage systems, such as dimensioning and designing ditches, ponds, and pipelines
• Reviewing and following up documentation to ensure constructability, quality, and traceability
• Maintaining continuous dialogue with consultants and contractors to create the right conditions for successful deliveries
Qualifications
As a candidate, you are analytical, curious, and structured. You can see holistic perspectives from multiple angles and work according to a clear process where you plan, organize, and follow up on your work to achieve set goals. You complete what you start and adhere to agreed timelines.
We are seeking someone who:
• Has several years of experience in water/drainage systems for infrastructure projects
• Has experience developing comprehensive solutions across technical domains
• Holds a master's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent
• Has project work experience with responsibility for progress, coordination, and communication
• Holds a valid driver's license
• Can communicate effectively in Swedish
