About this role

We are now seeking a specialist in general medicine to strengthen our well-functioning medical team! We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine and want to work at a well-established healthcare center in southern Stockholm. About us: Vendelsö Healthcare Center has over 13,000 registered patients and is beautifully located near Tyresta National Park, just under 30 minutes from Gullmarsplan by bus or about an hour from T-Centralen. At Vendelsö Healthcare Center, we have a stable group of about 40 employees, where you will be part of a medical team consisting of seven specialists, seven residents, and one intern. You will work in a team with our skilled nurses and district nurses, as well as with our psychosocial group, which includes three psychologists and one social worker. In addition, we have a large and well-managed home healthcare service, a reliable nursing assistant group, and a team of administrators/medical secretaries who are the hub and face of the healthcare center. The operations manager is a physician and has worked at Vendelsö Healthcare Center since 2005. The medical team holds regular meetings where we discuss practical matters, new medical findings, and review patient cases. We maintain an open climate and support each other with the aim of ensuring that everyone's workload is reasonable. You should be interested in mentoring, as we have training physicians and welcome medical students each semester. We prefer that you work full-time, but if it suits you better, we are open to adjusting your schedule to fit with your other life commitments. Does this sound interesting? You will care for patients of all ages through both urgent and planned consultations, both digitally and physically. You will mentor younger colleagues, and there is an opportunity to participate in the development of services such as specialist clinics and/or home healthcare. About you: We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine and have the authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You may be newly qualified as a specialist or have extensive experience; what matters to us is your willingness to help drive our operations forward. You have a professional approach and see good interactions with colleagues as well as patients as a given. Furthermore, we believe you are quality-conscious and responsive to the needs of the organization. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and we value personal qualities such as good collaboration skills, constructiveness, and flexibility. For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County healthcare area: - A background check will be conducted prior to the hiring decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment. - Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which will be conducted through occupational health services before employment. - In addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required.
