About this role
Welcome to Smedby Health Center!
As one of our general practitioners is leaving, we are seeking a specialist with the same expertise to join our close-knit team at Smedby Health Center.
Here, you'll have the opportunity to develop within a well-functioning physician group with daily doctor meetings and close collaboration with our psychologist and other staff, where we support each other in challenging situations. We share a common approach in our physician group, actively working to maintain low antibiotic and addictive medication prescriptions and keep sick leave rates low.
You will have your own practice, supervise our ST/BT doctors, conduct home visits at nursing homes, examine children at child health centers, and work primary care on-call shifts.
About You
We are seeking a general practitioner specialist with a genuine interest in people and general medicine. You are responsible, have good collaborative skills, and are flexible.
Is this a good fit? Then we warmly welcome you to apply to Smedby Health Center!
Your Future Workplace
Smedby is located approximately 8 km from central Kalmar. You can easily reach us by bus or bicycle. Our 5,700 listed patients are accustomed to a well-functioning health center, with the majority having a dedicated physician.
We haven't used locum doctors for many years, and several of our five specialist physicians started here as training doctors and chose to stay. We have stable staffing for district nurses, nursing assistants, secretaries, and a psychologist. We also have highly effective nurse-led clinics in areas such as diabetes and lifestyle, asthma/COPD, hypertension, and dementia.
The health center is housed in fresh premises, and we share the building with our nursing home and child health center. Short distances provide flexibility and accessibility for our most vulnerable patients.
We look forward to your application!
