About this role
Description
Would you like to work at a school where students come from all over the world, where collegial development is everyday life, and where you can focus on what you are passionate about – teaching and inspiring? Then Lundåkerskolan could be your next workplace.
About Us
Lundåkerskolan is the municipality's largest lower secondary school with approximately 370 students who contribute energy, joy, and diverse perspectives every day. Here, languages, cultures, and experiences meet – something we see as one of our greatest assets.
Located in the heart of Gislaved, near sports halls, swimming pool, and library, we also have our own Concert Hall where we gather for celebrations, culture, and community.
We have participated in a national R&D program on inclusive learning environments for three years. This has developed us enormously – in our approach, methods, and organization. Now we are ready to take the next step, and we are seeking someone who wants to help continue elevating teaching together with committed and driven colleagues.
Your Role with Us
As a Spanish teacher with us, you will become an important part of our language teaching team. You will:
create inspiring Spanish instruction for grades 6-9
work in a team of subject teachers where collaboration and development are central
focus entirely on teaching – our mentors handle the social aspects and parent contact
contribute to the school's continued development with your ideas, curiosity, and professionalism
We offer a work environment where you can grow and where colleagues share knowledge, materials, and energy.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking someone who:
is a certified teacher of Spanish for grades 7-9
enjoys collaboration and sees opportunities where others see obstacles
works with heart, quality, and high expectations – both for students and yourself
wants to contribute to a school where academic achievement and student welfare go hand in hand
We place great emphasis on your desire to develop teaching and be an active force in our collective work moving forward.
Why Choose Us?
- Strong collegial culture
- Focus on teaching – not administration
- A school that believes in inclusion and high ambitions
- Students and colleagues from around the world
- Full-time opportunity – but also part-time if needed
Welcome with your application!
We are conducting interviews on an ongoing basis and look forward to meeting you who want to help shape the language classrooms of the future at Lundåkerskolan.
In Gislaved municipality, full-time is a right, and therefore job openings are advertised* as full-time positions. When the organization can accommodate part-time, it is of course an option. *positions shorter than 3 months and certain roles may be exempt. In preparation for the recruitment process, Gislaved municipality has taken a stance on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact with media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar.
