We are now seeking a driven and detail-oriented person who wants to help build the Sourcing department. This is an exciting consultant assignment for one of our prominent customers in Gothenburg. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to grow into the role, with the intention from the client's side that you will potentially transition to a permanent position with them.
Responsibilities
In this central role, you will be key to building and maintaining a reliable and competitive supplier base. Your primary focus will be to assist the Sourcing Manager in evaluating, introducing, and continuously improving suppliers to ensure they meet high standards of quality, cost, and delivery reliability.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Assisting in new supplier development activities by collecting profiles, reviewing documentation, and following up on qualification.
• Tracking samples, tests, and validation processes to ensure projects meet their timelines.
• Updating the supplier database and associated documentation, and following up on suppliers' corrective actions (CA).
• Acting as an interface and coordinator with cross-functional teams (such as Engineering, Quality, and Logistics/Warehouse).
• Preparing meeting minutes, status reports, and other necessary documentation.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career, quick to learn with strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. You thrive in a high-paced environment, are responsible, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additionally, you have:
• Relevant academic or professional background in mechanical engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. We value your proficiency in office programs and ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Good understanding of supply chain or manufacturing processes. Experience with ERP or supplier management systems is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a collaborative mindset. Fluent in English (for international communication). Knowledge of Chinese is a significant advantage.
