Meet Hanna and gain insights into what it’s like to work as an SOS operator: "One of the most exciting things about this job is that no two days are alike." You will encounter all types of people, questions, and problems. Your primary task is to answer incoming calls from people in need. As an SOS operator, you respond to the emergency number 112 and serve as the first point of contact for those seeking help before other resources arrive.
Calls to 112 encompass everything from acute medical cases, traffic accidents, and fires to calls where someone needs a reassuring voice. With interview support and tailored technology, you ensure that the right resources are dispatched to the right location at the right time. During ongoing calls, you collaborate with colleagues and external resources such as the police, fire services, and ambulance. The work is often conducted at a fast pace, with the individuals seeking help always at the forefront. You will work at the SOS central office alongside your colleagues in an open environment.
