Job Responsibilities
A new research project investigates the environmental (and other) effects of using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to create media content.
More specifically, we are working on a commercial-like prototype of an online radio station broadcasting audio streams with speech and music content created by generative AI (Stochastic Pirate Radio KSPR).
Your task will be to design and lead the creation of new broadcast programs and explore, together with the research team, what GenAI tools for creating and managing KSPR content might look like. Your focus will be on creating broadcasts about themes such as environmental activism and underrepresented groups.
We strongly encourage critical perspectives on AI. We will focus on urgent issues of social and environmental sustainability, both in your radio programs and in our research. We support criticism and activism, but we definitively exclude violence and other illegal actions.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Interest in using generative AI tools for creative purposes is required, but no prior experience with such tools is necessary.
Meritorious
- Some experience in sound art is desirable, but not necessarily in professional artistic contexts.
- We appreciate previous and ongoing engagement in environmental activism, support for underrepresented groups, and work with non-governmental organizations.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
