Description We are now seeking summer substitutes for Älvkarleby Municipality's home care service, where you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and meaningful role where you can truly make a difference in people's lives. In home care, you will work independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues, who are always available for questions and support. Approximately 90 nursing assistants, care assistants, planning coordinators, and unit managers work together in Älvkarleby Municipality's home care service to be there for users at any time of the day or night. The home care service is divided into three different units: Home Care North, Home Care South, and Home Care Center, along with a shared Night Patrol. Together, our three units serve the entire municipality. Job Responsibilities As a summer substitute in home care, you will have a varied, exciting, and developing job. You will provide care services in the user's own home, assisting them with personal care, cleaning, and safety alarms, among other tasks. You will also be responsible for performing certain healthcare interventions, such as medication management and training. Documentation is part of your responsibilities. Your tasks will also include performing social documentation and participating in the establishment of individual care plans. Transportation for work may involve walking, driving, or cycling. Qualifications It is important that you enjoy meeting, supporting, and helping others. Being attentive, humble, and respectful of the equal value of all individuals are essential qualities. The work involves communication and documentation, so you need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and be comfortable using a computer. If you have studied in the Nursing Program or have other education and experience that we consider equivalent, this is an advantage. Älvkarleby Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and knowledge of the Finnish language is a merit. A valid B driver's license is required. The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts, and in some services, also night shifts. We prefer that you can work most of the summer to ensure continuity for both you and the organization. For work within Älvkarleby Municipality's care services, a criminal record extract is required. Valid ID and right to work in Sweden To work in Älvkarleby Municipality, you need to present a valid ID that shows your citizenship. In some cases, you may also need to provide a document that verifies your right to work in Sweden.
