Role as Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant
The Anorexia Unit provides day care and outpatient care. The day care unit employs nurses and care assistants. The unit's outpatient care includes two counselors and two nurses with CBT expertise. The unit also has specialist physicians.
We are now seeking a care assistant for a summer replacement position in the anorexia unit's day care. As a care assistant in the day care unit, you will primarily work with patient care for day care patients. Contact person responsibilities may be part of the job, where your task is to ensure that assigned patients and their relatives receive good care during their stay.
As a contact person, you will have conversations with patients to evaluate and revise treatment and monitor the patient's mental care status. You will also report on the patient's condition and treatment plan during rounds. If needed, you will participate in family discussions or collaboration meetings along with a CBT-competent nurse or counselor.
When necessary, you may perform tasks for care assistants in other clinic units. Day care working hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.
Your Future Workplace
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a county clinic with a joint unit, One Way In (EVI), for telephone counseling and triage to child and youth health services and child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinic has three outpatient clinics in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping, providing specialized care to children and youth with mental health issues in 13 municipalities. The clinic also has a joint ward located in Jönköping that provides 24-hour care, as well as an anorexia unit for outpatient and day care.
The county clinic currently has approximately 150 employees from various professions. Together, we serve children and youth aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer candidates who have completed at least three semesters, though individual assessments can be made earlier. Experience working with children or in psychiatric care is appreciated.
To ensure optimal summer planning, we welcome applicants who can work Period 1 (weeks 25-28) and/or Period 2 (weeks 29-32). Introduction will occur outside these weeks.
