Role as Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant The Orthopedic Clinic is seeking summer substitutes for Ward A. Ward A treats patients with acute orthopedic injuries and diseases requiring treatment, and this ward remains open during the summer. The clinic also has Ward B where patients undergoing planned surgeries are treated, but this ward is closed during the summer. The clinic also has an orthopedic outpatient clinic where patients with musculoskeletal pain (muscles, tendons, bones, and joints) are assessed. Patients being treated for fractures are also followed up here. As a summer employee on Ward A, you will work with nursing care, pre- and post-operative care, sample collection, documentation, and patient mobilization/daily rehabilitation. We work preventatively, which includes monitoring vital parameters, elimination, and care prevention. Your work shifts will be during day, evening, and weekend hours. Summer jobs are time-limited full-time positions. We need summer substitute nursing assistants/care assistants during weeks 25-33. It is advantageous if you can work many – or all – of these weeks. Region-wide introduction occurs beyond these weeks, and we appreciate if you can also shadow during spring. You will receive salary during the introduction. Your Future Workplace The Orthopedic Clinic at County Hospital Ryhov is Jönköping County's largest orthopedic clinic. We offer treatment, care, and rehabilitation for orthopedic diseases. The clinic is divided into general orthopedics and spine/neck surgery (neuro-orthopedic center). We work for quality, competence, and respect in all encounters. Approximately 150 people work at the clinic. At our orthopedic clinic, you'll work in an exciting, constantly developing environment. Your Profile We are seeking candidates who are trained nursing assistants or will be by June 2025. Alternatively, nursing or medical students who have completed at least three semesters (individual assessment possible earlier). To enjoy the summer job, you should like extensive patient contact. You take responsibility for your work, adapt easily to new conditions, work well with others, and have a willingness and ability to help. Your approach is solution-oriented with a positive attitude.
