Role as Nursing Assistant
As a nursing assistant in the intensive care unit, you will, together with the team, be responsible for patient care and monitoring.
Your tasks include monitoring patients, documenting observations according to orders and routines, and reporting changes in patient condition.
You will also assist doctors during various sterile procedures and support relatives by offering presence and empathy. You are responsible for maintaining the care room and handling preparation, functional checks, and cleaning of medical equipment.
This is a summer position, with the intended period being weeks 25 through 34. We prefer that you can work the entire period, but if you have other arrangements in mind, we can discuss this during the interview.
Your Workplace
The Operations and Intensive Care Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital is one of the hospital's largest clinics, with approximately 400 employees in intensive care, surgical care, day surgery, post-operative care, sterile technology, and healthcare administration.
Your Profile
We are seeking a qualified nursing assistant, or a student studying nursing or medicine. Experience in emergency or intensive care is meritorious. Many of our patients are in vulnerable positions, which requires understanding, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You are stable, controlled, and can collaborate well with others.
It is important to us that you have a positive approach to both tasks and colleagues. Together, we create high patient safety and good accessibility, with the patient in focus. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Our Offer to You
We offer an exciting, developing, and varied summer 2025 work experience where you can grow and learn together with us.
We understand that being new can be challenging, so we do our best to help you feel secure and prepared. You will receive a thorough introduction tailored to your needs and experience, with 15-20 introductory shifts alongside a supervisor. We start your onboarding already in the spring and also invite you to our joint introduction day and some training opportunities.
