To our friendly dialysis unit at Värnamo Hospital, we are seeking you who are already a licensed nurse or will graduate as a nurse in January 2026. During spring, we will provide you with an 8-week training period to safely introduce you to working as a dialysis nurse.
The Nursing Role
As a nurse in dialysis, you will have a technical, stimulating, and independent job while never being alone. Hemodialysis treatment is performed Monday-Saturday, mostly during daytime. Three days a week, evening hours are available. We operate a self-dialysis unit integrated with our other activities. We have 14 treatment stations, and during a work shift, you will be responsible for two to three patients simultaneously. You will have special nursing responsibility for some patients, including their long-term planning and treatment.

Summer jobs are full-time, time-limited positions. Work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. We need nursing substitutes until August 2026, with good possibilities for extension within other Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic activities, as we are a large clinic.
For those continuing employment after summer, we offer participation in one of Sweden's best introduction and development programs for newly graduated nurses - RIU. The program comprises 20 full days distributed over eight months, including lectures, clinical observations, and reflections. RIU provides an opportunity to meet other nurses in similar situations, allowing you to exchange experiences and offer each other advice and support.
