Help Ensure Both Others' and Your Own Summer - Apply for a Summer Job as a Nurse at the Orthopedic Clinic at Högland Hospital in Eksjö. Want Variety in Your Work, Professional Development, and to Be Part of a Well-Functioning Team? Then You're Welcome to Join Us!
The Nursing Role
A summer job with us at the Orthopedic Clinic at Högland Hospital in Eksjö means helping to ensure both others' and your own summer. You provide security for residents, and for yourself in the future through the experience gained from working with us.
In your role as the care-responsible nurse for orthopedic patients during the summer, you'll work with varying injuries, from minor to major traumas. Here, you'll have the opportunity to develop as a nurse. You'll become part of a team including nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, where we value each other's knowledge and maintain a strong sense of community.
The position is a full-time, time-limited employment with day, evening, and weekend shifts. We need summer substitutes during weeks 25-32. It's advantageous if you can work many – or all – of these weeks. A region-wide introduction will occur beyond these weeks, and we appreciate if you can also shadow during the spring. You'll receive pay during both the introduction and shadowing period.
Your Future Workplace
The care unit consists of two departments. Department A treats patients with acute orthopedic injuries and diseases requiring treatment, and remains open during the summer. Department B, which treats patients undergoing planned surgeries, will be closed during the summer. We use a structured approach to developing care processes based on new, evidence-based knowledge and continuously improve in collaboration with our patients.
At the Orthopedic Clinic, we operate on the principle that everyone should be met with respect and a positive approach, whether patient or colleague. Both patients and employees should feel well-informed, secure, and involved. We contribute to a good life in an attractive region.
Region Jönköping County is building for future healthcare and investing heavily in Högland Hospital. The entire Orthopedic Clinic is located in the newly built House 37, with fresh, well-adapted facilities that we're proud of.
Your Profile
We're seeking a licensed nurse or someone completing their nursing degree by June 2026.
You enjoy varied work. As a person, you're humble, meticulous, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks. It's important that you have a positive and professional approach to your work and colleagues. Personal suitability is highly valued.
Our Offer to You
Education is a natural part of our Orthopedic Clinic, and we believe a good introduction is key to job satisfaction. Beyond the region-wide introduction for summer substitutes, our clinic's team nurses and colleagues will provide an introduction tailored to your previous experience.
For those continuing employment after summer, we offer participation in one of Sweden's best introduction and development programs for newly graduated nurses – RIU.
We welcome your application!
