The Nurse Role
As a nurse, you have a holistic view of the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for care, observation, medications, and collaboration with patients with varying care requirements. We want patients to be involved in their care, which means information is a crucial part of your work. You care for the patient in the best possible way based on individual needs and proven experience in medical care.
We work in teams with different professionals, and together with other colleagues, you work to ensure good collaboration within the clinic.

For those who continue their employment after the summer, we offer participation in one of Sweden's best introduction and development programs for newly graduated nurses - RIU. The program covers 20 full days spread over eight months, including lectures, clinical observations, and reflections. RIU gives you an opportunity to meet other nurses in the same situation where you exchange experiences and provide each other with advice and support.
Your Future Workplace
The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Höglands Hospital in Eksjö is a developing facility where we care for patients needing specialized medical and geriatric care. The clinic has five care units with different focuses and orientations.
Our clinic has four inpatient units and one reception unit:
• Care Unit C: Pulmonary Medicine, Gastroenterology
• Care Unit D: Cardiology
• Care Unit E: Nephrology, Endocrinology, Hematology
• Care Unit F: Dialysis
• Care Unit G: Neurology, Stroke, Geriatrics
