The Nursing Role The Emergency Department at Ryhov County Hospital includes the Emergency Care Ward together with the Emergency Room and our healthcare administrative unit. • As a nurse in the Emergency Room, you will work with acutely ill patients of varying ages and with different medical, surgical, or orthopedic conditions. You are part of the team that assesses patient priority and care needs. As we want the patient to be involved in their care, providing information and contact with the patient's next of kin is an important part of your work. • Work at the Emergency Care Ward is varied and care-intensive with a rapid patient flow and high personal responsibility. You assess new patients daily and constantly face new challenges to solve. As a nurse, you have a holistic view of the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for nursing care, medications, psychosocial needs, and collaborative issues surrounding the patient. We want the patient to be involved in their care. This means that communication and information are a very important part of your work. To ensure the best summer planning, we appreciate if you can work continuously throughout the entire summer, or as many weeks as possible during weeks 25-35. Orientation occurs in addition to these weeks. To thrive here, you are quality-conscious, take initiative, and are responsible for your own tasks and the unit's overall functioning.
