As a hourly-paid substitute in healthcare and social services, you will meet and support elderly persons who need help in their daily lives or children, youth, and adults with varying needs.
This may involve cooking, cleaning, daily activities, or shopping together. You will also help with dressing, hygiene such as showering and toilet visits.
What You Will Do
Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant - Home Care
You will primarily travel by car and occasionally by bicycle between clients, helping with daily home routines such as dressing, shower assistance, medication administration, and providing individual support the client needs.
Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant - Residential Care
You will help clients in a care facility with daily routines - such as dressing, shower assistance, medication administration, and providing the individual support the client needs. In some departments, it is especially important to have staff who can spread calm and security to the clients.
Support Assistant
You will work pedagogically in a group home or supported housing, providing support and care with the goal of strengthening individual abilities and independence. The people you meet may have extensive physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. Your role includes motivating and guiding users through various daily activities, focusing on promoting their independence and participation. Tasks include personal care, medication support, household chores like cleaning, laundry and shopping, and participating in and encouraging various activities.
Personal Assistant
You will work to provide daily support to a person in their home, based on the individual's own needs and wishes. It is a meaningful assignment where you enable someone with extensive disabilities to live an independent and active life. Support can include both practical daily tasks and leisure activities, always focusing on strengthening the user's independence. Tasks include personal care and may also involve delegated interventions, such as medication administration. The user's life situation and will guide the work.
Your Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Is at least 18 years old - Exception: If you are studying healthcare and social care program semester 4 and are 17 years old, you can apply for summer job. Age requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulation 2012:3 on minors' work environment
- Has good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
- Can work with both male and female clients/users and colleagues
- Is flexible, responsible, and has a genuine interest in working with people
- Can be available on short notice when needed
- Is available to work at least 2-3 times per week
- Can present an extract from the criminal record register ("control of own information") in an unopened envelope during recruitment
Meritorious:
- Education in:
- Healthcare and Social Care Program
- Child and Leisure Program with focus on pedagogical and social work
- Equivalent education
- Experience working in healthcare and social services
- B driver's license
- Ability to cycle
