We are now looking for several summer substitutes who are interested in working in elderly care with a focus on home care. The summer job period is from week 26 to 33, and there is an opportunity to start as a temporary worker even now.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We have nine different home care areas in the municipality of Mariestad, two of which include rural areas. Working in home care means that you will support individuals with various needs in their own apartments, townhouses, and villas.
The tasks are varied and include personal care such as assisting with toilet and shower situations, dressing and undressing, distributing medications, helping with meals, as well as service tasks such as laundry, simple cooking, and social interaction.
A large part of the work is performed independently, while you have colleagues who are out on their visits and are just a phone call away. There is also a so-called double staffing where you visit individuals together and assist each other, for example, during lifting situations.
This job is for you if you are outgoing and enjoy a dynamic work environment with sometimes high tempo. You will meet many different people during a work shift and have contact with colleagues, unit managers, nurses, and relatives. You will also have planners who organize your visits for the day as support in your work.
We have both bicycle and car districts depending on which home care area you work in. The working hours are mixed, and you will work both day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend shifts. Some positions are also available specifically for night work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are primarily looking for candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing a nursing education, childcare education, or other equivalent training. Alternatively, we are looking for individuals with experience working with people in need of support or experience from service professions.
You should be engaged and curious in your work, as well as have a strong sense of responsibility. Furthermore, you should be attentive to the needs of residents and have a genuine interest in helping others. You must be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to communicate with users and to document events and other information in your work.
It is very important that you can collaborate effectively with other colleagues and contribute with flexibility and joy at work.
It is advantageous if you have a driver's license, as well as experience and knowledge of alternative communication methods. Some digital skills are also required, as much of the work—including your work schedule and documentation—is managed through apps.
We also expect you to be able to work irregular hours, which means working during the day, evenings, and weekends.
Due to the requirements set by the Swedish Work Environment Authority for care work, you must be at least 18 years old.
