JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you looking for a summer job that provides valuable experience, a good introduction, and great flexibility? Welcome to summer work as a nurse in Kalmar Municipality!
We are seeking nurses who want to work within Kalmar Municipality's health and medical care during the summer, whether you are newly graduated or have more experience. Here, you will have a meaningful, independent, and varied job where you work closely with patients in their daily lives while being supported by an engaged team.
As a nurse with us, you will be involved in advanced home healthcare, medication management, end-of-life care, and wound dressings. You will meet patients of various ages and with diverse health and medical needs.
The work is both independent and team-based. You will collaborate with nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, case managers, and unit managers. We also cooperate with external actors such as habilitation services, psychiatry, and health centers.
To create the best possible conditions during the summer, several of our regular nurses will be working throughout the summer. They contribute continuity, clear routines, and knowledge of the operations.
You can choose to work day/evening or night shifts, with weekend work included. You have the opportunity to specify your desired employment rate. The introduction will be tailored to your experience and needs. For those who thrive with us, there may also be opportunities for positions after the summer.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to work during the summer. You might be:
• Recently graduated and curious about working as a nurse in municipal primary care
• Experienced and seeking a varied summer assignment
• Working elsewhere during the year but want to work locally in the summer
• Retired but wish to contribute your expertise for a limited period
Regardless of your background, we value your ability to engage confidently with patients and maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude. The position requires you to be able to work both independently and as part of a team. As a person, you are structured and can prioritize your work.
A driver's license is a requirement.
You will also need to provide a current extract from the police criminal record. This can be obtained from the police website. The extract is called HVB-hem.
