The Technical and Property Management Department provides internal services so that our colleagues in other operations can focus on their core activities. We are responsible for the operation and development of public land and issue permits so that the municipal group and businesses can conduct their activities. We also ensure that children, students, and care recipients receive good and nutritious food and that the municipality's facilities are well-maintained and suitable for their purpose.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Within the Food Care department, we primarily prepare meals for the elderly residing in the municipality's care homes or individuals with decisions regarding meal distribution, as well as meals for parts of the municipality's daily operations and for serving in the department's restaurants. Some of the kitchens also prepare food for local schools and preschools.
Food Care prepares approximately 1,700 lunch portions every day. In addition, we provide cooked dinners and supply the municipality's care homes with food for other meals throughout the day, such as breakfast and snacks. Within School Food, we prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for preschool children and elementary school students in the municipal schools. The number of portions can vary somewhat as preschools and after-school programs combine during the summer months.
The positions are available in everything from larger workgroups to smaller kitchens where you work alone.
The work involves kitchen tasks such as cooking regular and special diets, preparing salads and vegetables, hygiene and self-control, cashier duties, portioning and serving, as well as dishwashing and cleaning.
QUALIFICATIONS
You should have a high school education in large-scale cooking or equivalent training. You must be able to collaborate easily and have the ability to work independently. You should have experience working in a kitchen. It is important that you can communicate in Swedish. You must be able to understand and follow instructions and delegations in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge of special diets, are computer literate, have a driver's license, and have access to a car. You will also need to provide a current extract from the police criminal record. This can be obtained from the police website. The extract is titled School or Preschool.
