JOB DESCRIPTION
As a social worker for children and youth, you will work both independently, in pairs, and as part of a team where we support one another. In your role, you will conduct investigations concerning children aged 0-20 years according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). You will follow up on approved and ongoing interventions.
In your role, you have the ability to meet people with diverse needs. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You enjoy the collaboration and responsibilities that the role entails and thrive in a team environment. You collaborate externally with authorities and organizations, as well as other stakeholders. In your work, you utilize research-based methods with the aim of ensuring that the right intervention reaches the right person at the right time. You are interested in development work and stay updated on current research in the field, both independently and together with the team. You value knowledge and enjoy being part of development with the child's best interests in focus. You are curious and want to explore additional avenues in light of the new social services law, where social services can find more opportunities to provide the qualitative support needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in public authority operations. It is advantageous if you have training in BBIC, child and youth development, attachment patterns, and investigative work. Experience with child interviews, solution-focused conversation methods, and other conversational techniques is also beneficial. You have a strong ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing and can create clarity even in complicated situations.
As a person, you are self-assured, curious, proactive, and have a strong interest in social work. You keep yourself updated on the legislative conditions where we will soon have changed opportunities. You must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing and possess good communication skills. You want to work in a learning-oriented and curious manner, with the ability to build good relationships and foster effective collaboration. You see the bigger picture and take into account the broader perspective, contributing to predictability and continuity. You easily see the child's perspective, and in your role, you communicate clearly. You ensure that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes while maintaining a realistic perspective on situations. You work family-oriented and involve families and important adults, ensuring that both children and networks are engaged in the change process.
A driver's license is required.
