About this role

Who are we? We work within the child services department at the social office, where we focus on promoting healthy family relationships. Our main task is to provide support and treatment to children, young people, and their families, with a strong emphasis on parental support in various forms. There are team leaders responsible for support and guidance in daily work, in close cooperation with the unit manager. As a new employee with us, you will receive an introduction that includes professional development and, if necessary, basic training in the methods used by the team. Your responsibilities The work takes place in families' homes and in our centrally located offices in Norrköping. You will often work in pairs, but there may also be situations where you work more individually on your cases. Treatment and conversations are conducted with both parents and children aged 0-12 years, where you adapt your communication wisely and pedagogically depending on who you are speaking with. Our work is carried out in accordance with the decisions made by the caseworkers, where you base your actions on the family's specific needs and design the intervention accordingly. Collaboration with other actors around the child is an important part of our work, where we cooperate with preschools, schools, or child and adolescent psychiatric services (BUP). The role also includes follow-ups and administration, where you continuously document in the relevant system. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction and have the opportunity to shadow colleagues at the beginning to familiarize yourself with the work. You will have a mentor and close support from the team leader in your work with families. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker, behavioral scientist, or has another university degree that the employer deems equivalent to the position. You have extensive experience in conversing with people, particularly children. You are comfortable making contacts within, for example, schools or healthcare. You have experience in social work with families and knowledge of child development. If you also have prior knowledge of parenting support programs, attachment, and neglect, we view that positively. For this position, you will work in a team where collaboration is a central aspect. You are calm, stable, and have a positive attitude. You easily establish contact, have the ability to inspire trust, adapt to changing circumstances, and can be straightforward and clear in both communication and documentation. You feel a strong sense of responsibility for your tasks and your role at the social office. You are confident and self-aware. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between personal and professional matters, and behave in a manner that is appropriate to the situation. You recognize and seize opportunities for change and contribute to a positive work environment. A B driver's license for manual transmission is required.
