About this role
At the Adult Unit, you have the opportunity to work with individuals in challenging life situations and be part of their journey towards change.
We work with adults who need support regarding harmful use and addiction, as well as violence in close relationships. We also address issues related to housing and social contracts, making the work both broad and meaningful. There is also the possibility to work partially at the Social Emergency Service.
The Adult Unit consists of two teams with a total of 30 employees who work with reception, support, and authority functions in areas such as addiction, violence in close relationships, and housing. The unit also includes unit managers and team leaders who provide support in daily operations. We have a warm and supportive work environment with engaged colleagues, regular supervision from team leaders, and good opportunities for professional development. We offer flexible working hours, remote work, and wellness benefits. We know that you do important work, and we want you to thrive.
We are now looking for three social workers!
Responsibilities
You will work with the target group of adults aged 18 and above, but the target group may vary if we need to assist other units. Primarily, you will work with individuals with substance abuse problems, often in combination with mental health issues. You will also work with individuals facing other psychosocial challenges without substance abuse. Handling applications for housing is also part of your responsibilities.
At the Adult Unit, we have a clear focus on providing our community residents with the best possible support at home; we believe this is best achieved through collaboration between our units and other actors around the individual. Being flexible in finding the best solutions for the individuals you work with, in collaboration with others, will therefore be an important part of your work. You will maintain close contact with clients, offering support, guidance, and motivational work. You play a crucial role in creating safety and stability, both through conversation support and concrete interventions. Your role also includes participating in the development work of the organization.
The work consists of authority functions, namely:
- Investigation
- Motivation
- Decision-making
- Follow-up
About You
We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker with experience in authority functions. We prefer candidates with experience working with individuals with harmful use and addiction, as well as handling cases according to LVM (Law on Care of Abusers) and LVU (Law on Care of Young People), and experience with homelessness. You may also have experience working with violence in close relationships and honor-related issues. Ideally, you also have training and experience in ASI (Addiction Severity Index), MI (Motivational Interviewing), FREDA, a solution-focused approach, and Treserva.
You have a strong ability to meet and listen to people. You are also proactive and capable of working independently and making your own decisions. The work is unpredictable, which requires flexibility and the ability to reprioritize at short notice. Since we often encounter individuals in difficult life situations, it is important that you are a secure and stable person. You collaborate well with other professionals. You possess administrative skills and can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
The position requires a valid driver's license (B category).
