JOB DESCRIPTION
The Adult and Welfare Unit is currently seeking a social worker for authority exercise in financial assistance. Our support to individuals is based on assessing the need for interventions, following up on individual plans, and deciding on the right to assistance regarding:
- Financial assistance
- Harmful use and dependency
- Social psychiatry
- Domestic violence
In addition to the above, we also work with labor market issues and refugee reception within the unit.
We work in smaller teams with close collaboration between groups to create a comprehensive view of the citizen.
The foundation of our work is collaboration both within the municipality and with other authorities. Our approach to social work involves a social change effort where we build on the citizen's own resources and meet them based on their individual circumstances.
The work is characterized by a positive approach, well-founded decisions, and varied tasks. You will be part of a team that supports each other, learns, and inspires one another. As a social worker in the Adult and Welfare Unit, you will be offered an active and participatory role, along with clear leadership and support in your work.
We have legally secure processes, well-established routines, and view flexibility as an important part of the job. In your work, you will have close collaboration with your colleagues as well as with the senior social worker and manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
You have a degree in social work or another higher education qualification that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in authority exercise is an advantage. You should have knowledge of the applicable legislation regarding the Social Services Act and its regulations. Experience in financial assistance is also an advantage, as well as a strong interest in broadening your skills in the areas for which the Employment and Welfare Unit is responsible.
We expect that you, as the applicant, are self-assured, have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, and are willing to take responsibility and plan your tasks effectively. Humor, flexibility, creativity, strong collaboration skills, and humility are qualities we highly value. You promote a respectful and pleasant work environment and understand the importance of our shared mission, contributing to the whole. You work towards fostering a good team spirit and believe in the importance of helping each other.
The work is also characterized by change, so it is important that you can easily adapt to your surroundings and situations. You remain calm, stable, and positive even in a fast-paced environment. Last but not least, we see that you are curious, have a good approach, are accessible, and possess a strong sense of service. The work also requires good documentation skills, computer proficiency, and a driving license. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
