We are now seeking two social workers for the investigation unit, Child and Youth Area
The Child and Youth Area is part of the Social Department at Södermalm District Administration.
The area consists of an intake unit, three investigation units; children, youth, and 0-20, family law unit, family care unit, and contact activities. Child and Youth is led by an area manager and five unit managers. The area has two coordinators who provide support in operational matters and introduction for new employees. There is also a school coordinator and an SIP coordinator. We consist of approximately 65 employees in total. We are located in modern premises in Hammarby Sjöstad.

Your Role
As a social worker, you will investigate children and youth's needs for protection and support and follow up approved interventions for youth and their families. Your work is based on current legislation, guidelines, and knowledge support. The work is conducted from a systems theoretical perspective, focusing on resources, strengths, and risks within the family and network.
In your work, you will continuously receive support from your unit manager and colleagues. You work in pairs during investigations and assist each other between units. You will regularly participate in method support and external supervision. All new team members receive an individual introduction plan.
In Child and Youth, we strive for good collaboration across the entire Social Department, and you will have the opportunity to participate as a representative in various collaboration groups, such as LSS, domestic violence team, field group, etc.
Your Competence and Experience
For this position, you must have:
- Social work degree
- Professional experience as a social worker with authority exercise in child and youth services or treatment with children and youth
- Understanding and good knowledge of current legislation in relevant areas
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Training in Signs of Safety
- Further education in assessment tools such as SAVRY, EARL, ADAD
We expect you to work systematically and responsibly by planning and prioritizing your work based on set goals and timelines. You simultaneously have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work with great variation, switching between different tasks. We seek someone who sees the challenge in managing complex cases and sharing knowledge/experiences with colleagues.
