Your responsibilities
Within the Elderly Investigation unit, we meet individuals aged 65 and above who, due to aging and its consequences, need support and assistance. We receive applications, conduct investigations, and make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), as well as follow up on decisions to ensure that each individual’s needs are met. We investigate according to the IBIC model, Individual Needs in Center.
You will work independently but also in close collaboration with colleagues, other professionals, and organizations both internally and externally. The unit consists of approximately 40 employees, and our office is centrally located in Umeå.
About you
We are looking for a qualified social worker with some years of experience in public authority work, where you have conducted investigations and made decisions based on the Social Services Act (SoL). You can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and hold a B driver's license.
In the role of social worker, you often meet people in difficult life situations, so it is important that you are a secure and stable person who can see the individual’s needs and place them in a broader perspective. You are good at taking your own initiative and can work independently, but you also have strong collaboration skills and see cooperation as a natural part of your work. The job requires flexibility and the ability to reprioritize at short notice, as the workload can be high during certain periods. You want to actively participate in developing the organization and contribute to a good work environment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
