Welcome to apply for a position with us at the Economic Assistance Unit in Hägersten-Älvsjö District Administration.

The position is based in the investigation group for economic assistance. The investigation group consists of:

• 18 social workers
• Two team leaders
• One onboarding coordinator

The group is led by a unit manager. We focus on goals for our residents, legal security, good service, and social change initiatives. We collaborate with addiction care and social psychiatry when our residents have complex needs.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker who is passionate about social work and creating conditions for our residents to achieve economic self-sufficiency. We seek someone who understands the mission; to simultaneously work with social change initiatives and assess the right to economic assistance. We want you to be fearless and curious when engaging with clients, regardless of the target group.

You need to have the ability to maintain good structure in the ongoing administrative work related to processing applications, and you should have the mindset that it is important for clients to receive timely and accurate decisions.

We welcome those who approach our residents with great respect, understanding, and the ability to motivate. You have a high service capacity and a genuine interest in supporting people in difficult situations. You also need to understand the importance of collaborating with other actors, both externally and internally, in your authority work.

Qualifications

• A degree in social work is required, and experience in economic assistance or other authority work is preferred.
• It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the city's documentation system, Paraplyet, and familiarity with Motivational Interviewing.
• We also see that you are ambitious, socially engaged, have the ability to collaborate with others, and that you are meticulous in your work.
• We want you to be fearless, curious, possess a high sense of service, and maintain a client-focused approach in your work.
