What We Do and Want
The Children and Youth Units consist of two units that work closely together to investigate and follow up on interventions for children and young people aged 0-20 who need our support.
Under the leadership of two unit managers, we comprise an intake group, two investigation groups, and an intervention group. Each group has a group leader with close access to management. The units share 2 administrators and 1 coordinator and belong to the Labor Market and Social Administration. We see ourselves as one unit, so in addition to your small group, you'll also have a large group of colleagues to enjoy working with.
We hope you'll find a workplace where we have high ambitions but humane expectations of ourselves. We want to find a sustainable approach in the changing yet exciting world we live in. Our goal is to improve the life situation of children and young people, which we do best together with those we meet. The entire administration has chosen to focus on Signs of Safety for several years, and we see that it is successful in many ways.
In Tyresö, we want you to feel that your knowledge, experience, and commitment truly make a difference and that you can see how the work develops when we have the same goals. We strive to put the fine words into practice when we describe ourselves as a creative and curious workplace interested in new solutions across unit boundaries. Welcome to a workplace that wants to become even better!
About the Position
In your role with us, you'll follow up on interventions approved by investigators and become a crucial part of contributing to actual positive changes in children's and young people's lives. We are committed to ensuring high-quality interventions through regular follow-ups. You'll become a connecting link between all the different people collaborating around the child/young person. Our ambition is to expand family networks that can remain after professional contacts end. It's an exciting and varied job where you'll work with everything from small children whose parents are in family treatment to young people at risk placed in residential care.
Interventions can be approved under Social Services Act (SoL) or Care of Young Persons (LVU) for the 0-20 age group and primarily consist of family treatment, contact person, contact family, school social team, treatment-focused school, placement in residential care/institution, supported housing, or emergency foster care. You'll regularly meet with the family and child/young person, and since some residences are outside Stockholm, having a driver's license is beneficial.
You'll complement a fun and familial group that helps each other with what's needed. The group has several areas of expertise, and we look forward to you complementing our perspectives and helping improve our processes further. Several colleagues in the group have extensive experience, and we value collaboration and development.
We have one available position with start date by agreement. The position is a 9-month temporary contract with potential for extension. The position is full-time, but we're open to part-time employment if it better suits your life situation. We offer flexible annual working hours, wellness allowance, various health-promoting activities, and external supervision.
Who Are You?
We're looking for someone with strong commitment to social work who felt motivated when reading about the position! You have a complete social work degree, and we prefer candidates with practical experience investigating children and young people using the BBIC framework. Experience working with youth with mental or social problems, or challenges related to neuropsychiatric disorders, is considered positive.
Documentation comes naturally to you, and you communicate clearly. You're curious about learning more while having experience meeting people in difficult life situations. The position requires you to be a team player while also being independent and able to take initiative.
As a person, you're flexible and adapt easily to new conditions as the world places new demands on us as a public authority. You can, like us, share both successes and shortcomings. We're also looking for a colleague we can laugh with during coffee breaks! We place great importance on personal suitability.
