About this role
Do you want a meaningful and challenging job where you can make a difference for children, young people, and their families? We are looking for someone with a strong desire to help others and create a positive change for those we serve!
Who are we?
At the Social Office in Norrköping, we always place the individual's needs at the center—with the best interests of the child as our top priority. Our goal is to create long-term and positive changes through solutions close to the people we serve. Quality and legal security are the foundation of our work, and we want all residents to feel safe and have access to high-quality social services.
We are currently seeking a social worker who wants to work with the follow-up of children and young people (ages 10-14) placed outside their homes in Unit 2.
We offer you, among other things, flexible working hours, the possibility of remote work, individual salary setting, external supervision, engaged colleagues, and a work environment with a strong team spirit—and much more.
Your responsibilities
With us, you make a difference every day. As a social worker, you will investigate and make decisions about interventions for children, young people, and their families. You will follow up on these interventions to ensure they truly make a difference and create security. The work is conducted according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), with the support of the BBIC framework, and in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be part of an engaged unit where you will receive support from a senior social worker and two mentors during your introduction. We always work with primary and co-handlers in all cases—for quality and security. With us, you will receive support, development, and the opportunity to grow in your profession.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Experience in public authority work related to children and youth is viewed positively.
You are confident, stable, have a positive attitude, and work well with others. You find it easy to establish contact and have the ability to instill trust in meetings. You are attentive and contribute to a positive work environment.
We see that you enjoy working independently, taking responsibility for planning and structuring your work, and ensuring progress in your processes. You have good judgment and make well-founded decisions based on SoL and LVU. You are flexible and adapt to changes, while also being direct and clear in both communication and documentation.
Since the job may involve travel, a B driver's license for manual transmission is required. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Together, we create a better future for children and young people in Norrköping.
