As a social worker at our reception unit for financial assistance, you will work closely with both clients and colleagues in an environment characterized by collaboration, trust, and commitment. Welcome to the Work and Support Area Our office is located at Slakthusplan near Globen metro station. Our reception unit consists of nine social workers and an accessible, trust-based unit manager. We maintain an open, helpful atmosphere at the reception. We provide collegial support and space to share experiences and reflect together daily. The unit is part of the Work and Support area, where collaboration is a natural part of the work. The unit works closely with the domestic violence team, substance abuse unit, and child and youth units. This provides you with a holistic view of clients' situations and allows you to contribute to sustainable solutions. There are several collaboration groups where you as a social worker participate and drive development issues in various areas. Currently, we are also participating in a pilot project related to the new Social Services Act (SoL), which gives you the opportunity to influence future working methods. Your Role As a social worker at the reception unit, you are often the first point of contact for clients seeking support from social services. You meet them during an important transition where security, clarity, and structure are crucial. You receive and investigate financial assistance applications, conduct initial visits, and follow up on cases. Part of the work also involves guiding and motivating clients towards self-sufficiency and collaborating with other actors to find appropriate support measures. Example Tasks: - Provide advice and guidance to residents contacting the unit, primarily via telephone - Conduct initial visits in the administration's meeting rooms with new clients applying for financial assistance - Investigate and process financial assistance applications and make decisions according to current legislation - Collaborate with other actors such as substance abuse units, child and youth units, and regional healthcare to provide coordinated support to residents Your Competence and Experience We are seeking someone who: - Holds a social work degree - Has excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Has good computer skills and enjoys working digitally It is meritorious if you: - Have worked at a reception unit within adult social services - Have experience working in Stockholm City - Have good knowledge of the Swedish social insurance system, e.g., Social Insurance Agency - Have experience with administrative work in financial assistance To Succeed in the Role, We Seek Someone Who: - Has good collaborative abilities - Is flexible and adaptable - Has a structured work style - Is detail-oriented in document handling - Shows initiative - Communicates clearly and respectfully Additional Information We are recruiting without a personal cover letter to strengthen focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role.
