About this role
As an employee in our municipality, you have every opportunity to help develop the operations and your workplace. With nearly 4,000 employees, we are large enough to drive change and small enough for everyone to have influence and space for their ideas. There is room for innovators. Together, we create Alingsås!
We are two Children & Youth units consisting of three investigation groups and a shared intake and method support team. Our target group includes children and young people aged 0-18 and their parents. At our units, we work together actively on work environment, well-being, everyone's participation, and skills development. Here, you'll have the chance to join a work group that is truly exceptional in terms of genuine satisfaction, care, lack of prestige, and competence!
One of our employees is moving from Alingsås and ending their service, so we are seeking someone who wants to enrich our team with their knowledge and personality.
When you start with us, we offer:
• A workplace where our employees get along very well with each other, support and help each other regardless of group or unit affiliation
• A workplace with accessible and experienced management who, together with our method support, ensures method development and monitoring of external trends
• A workplace offering method supervision individually and in groups, as well as external process supervision
• A workplace with well-functioning and close collaboration with our foster care unit and service unit, where we try to work as a team early in the process through various forums
• A workplace with comprehensive introduction, adapted to your needs
• Skills development and new steps in your professional development, including a three-day internal training in Signs of Safety
• A workplace offering flexible working hours to help you achieve a better work-life balance
• A workplace offering the possibility to work partially remotely
• Reflection time consisting of one hour each week
• Option to convert vacation compensation into extra days off
• Wellness allowance, which you can use, for example, at the fitness center in our building
WORK TASKS
In the Children & Youth unit, we work in qualified intake, investigation, and follow-up work according to current legislation. We believe we have one of the world's best and most important jobs! We want people to be able to work in this role for a long time, even as private life develops and changes. Therefore, we have developed both support and organization that support and promote this.
As a social secretary at the Children and Youth intake, you will work on receiving applications and reports, conducting preliminary assessments, making protection assessments, initiating investigations, and providing statements. Going out to schools and other places to inform about social services is also part of the job.
BBiC and Signs of Safety permeate all our work, based on the goal that all our children and families are met with respect, are participatory and have influence, and that their and their network's resources are utilized, always with the child's safety, security, and best interests as the starting point. Please read more at www.socialstyrelsen.se and www.signsofsafety.net
This means that in your role as a social secretary at the intake, you will meet children, youth, and families at the social office and in various environments where children have their daily lives. In network meetings, we gather together with the important people around the family, both privately and professionally. We have close collaboration with colleagues within the municipality and with partner organizations across different areas of operation. We are curious, development-oriented, and courageous.
For those with more professional experience:
We are seeking someone experienced in working with children and youth. Upon starting, an introduction program will be created tailored to your needs. You will be offered further education through GR's Professional Journey and other evidence-based methods. There are excellent opportunities for developing specialized competencies such as collaboration between police and social services, norm-breaking behavior, ViNR, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Social work degree (or eligibility according to SOSFS 2014:7) and experience in children and youth intake and/or investigation are required. B driver's license is also required.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
