The Child and Family Unit consists of a reception, an investigation group, and a foster care group, which includes two child social workers and two foster care social workers, as well as administrators. The unit is led by a unit manager. The reception team includes two social workers.
In the workgroup, there is a positive atmosphere; we care for each other and support one another in our daily tasks. We help each other manage difficult assessments and value our diverse experiences.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a social worker in the reception group, you are often the first point of contact with social services for children and young people and their families. Collaboration is an important part of the work with, for example, preschools, schools, police, and other stakeholders around the child and family.
The reception is responsible for the unit's emergency phone, which is open during office hours to receive reports and applications, as well as for advice/consultations regarding children and young people aged 0-21. You will work with a high degree of independence within legislation, guidelines, and practices. Your work should be characterized by professionalism, good reception, and responsiveness to the needs of children and families.
The reception group is also responsible for providing training for preschools and schools to increase knowledge about the work of social services and the duty to report.
In your daily work, you will receive support and supervision from both the unit manager and the senior social worker, as well as external supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for an experienced social worker who has:
• A degree in social work.
• Experience in investigative work and/or reception work within social services.
• Good knowledge of legislation related to SoL (Social Services Act) and LVU (Care of Young Persons Act).
• Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good collaboration skills and is also an effective communicator.
To thrive in the reception group, you need to be flexible and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in your daily work as a public authority. You are adept at planning, organizing, and prioritizing your tasks. You have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations and enjoy collaborating. You are meticulous and unpretentious. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of other languages.
