Are you interested in working to strengthen and support women struggling with substance abuse and violence? Then Elsa Women's Housing might be the workplace for you!
Who are we?
Elsa is a housing facility for women with substance abuse and dependency issues. Elsa is part of the Social Services Office and focuses on supporting women with goals such as housing solutions, reduced substance abuse, decreased exposure to violence, increased independence, and improved physical and mental health.
At Elsa, we offer both long-term housing placements and short-term emergency shelter spaces. We currently have seven employees at Elsa.
We provide the women residents with protection, support, and motivation. At Elsa, our focus is on creating conditions for women to succeed at home, and we work with creative solutions tailored to individual women's needs.

At our facility, you will play a crucial role for the women living at Elsa Housing. You will provide support socially, practically, and through motivational conversations. It is a varied role where you work to contribute to a safe environment. Your workday may include anything from helping clean the house where the women live, holding motivational interviews, to collaborating with other actors to contribute to positive changes in a woman's life.
As an employee, it is required that you believe in the women's inherent strength and ability to participate in changing their life situation. We work with motivational interviewing (MI) as the foundation of our approach.
We work on assignment from the Social Services Office's authority, with which we have a close collaboration. We are responsible for implementing interventions, documentation, and follow-up.
