The Counseling Reception is expanding and is therefore seeking an experienced social worker for a time-limited employment during the year 2026.
Work Duties
Crisis Center Malmö Counseling Reception works informatively, supportively, advisorily, and therapeutically with individuals living or who have lived in a destructive relationship where violence occurs, has occurred, or where there is a risk of violence. All Malmö residents from 15 years old who have been subjected to or have perpetrated violence can seek out the service.
In your work, you will also closely collaborate with other Crisis Center Malmö operations and many collaborative partners.
In the role, you will independently and individually meet with clients, focusing on conversations to stop violence. You are responsible for your own cases and drive the treatment work. It is a varied job that includes crisis support via telephone, informational conversations, and lecturing and educating. You will also perform environmental monitoring and contribute to service development with a focus on issues related to domestic violence.
Qualifications
To perform well in this position, you need to have:
• Social Work degree
• Psychotherapy Education Step 1 certification
• Several years of experience with counseling and treatment
• Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills
It is meritorious if you have:
• Training in domestic violence
• Experience working informatively, supportively, advisorily, and therapeutically with individuals who perpetrate or are subjected to domestic violence
• Language skills beyond Swedish
As a person, you are secure and stable with good self-awareness. It is important that you have good collaborative abilities and are relationship-oriented. The work is highly independent, which requires you to be accustomed to planning your work independently, being self-driven, and taking responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you are proactive and participative in the organization's improvement and development work.

Crisis Center Malmö Counseling Reception works to counteract violence and is available to all Malmö city residents. We are located in centrally situated premises with access to individual offices. You can read more about the Counseling Reception at malmo.se.
