About the Position Welcome to our Child and Youth Investigation Unit! As a social worker with us, you will meet children, young people, and their families. Your primary task is to investigate the child's situation, make assessments according to SoL and LVU, and conduct follow-ups to provide children and young people with a secure and stable environment. The work also involves writing statements to various authorities, collaborating with external partners, and other social services. You will work according to BBIC and document in the Lifecare system. Furthermore, you will help leverage the family's own resources and solutions, with a strong focus on network inventory. Example Work Tasks: • Investigate and handle cases according to SoL, LVU, and the Protected Housing Placement Act • Maintain contacts for investigation purposes and to help strengthen personal resources • Write statements to various authorities • Collaborate with external partners, such as schools and police • Make decisions according to delegation • Collaborate with other social services • Follow up on interventions About the Workplace The Social Committee responsible for individual and family care belongs to the Social Administration in Örebro Municipality. Individual and family care is built on several areas with both official authority and interventions. Örebro Municipality's social services have extensive open care, significant preventive work, several residential care homes, and support housing. Within official authority, there are several units: Foster Homes, Family Law, Reception, Social Emergency Services, and three investigation units for Children and Youth, and Young Adults and Adults. The entire Individual and Family Care is currently undergoing a transformation, adapting our operations to meet today's and tomorrow's needs. Our Child and Youth Investigation Unit 2 works with official authority and consists of four work groups, each with a group leader, two administrators, and a unit manager. The unit is based on community, legal certainty, a desire to develop and renew. We work with the approach that we help each other, support one another, and always keep the child's best interests in focus. Our office is located on Ribbingsgatan, centrally situated in the northern part of the city, with easy access to bus, train, shops, and dining options. Qualifications The role of social worker with us is challenging, stimulating, but also complex. We therefore need someone who is confident and stable. You are also flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances. The work requires the ability to switch between different tasks and find quick, legally sound solutions. You can remain calm in stressful and pressured situations. You prefer to work in a team with shared responsibility while also taking significant responsibility for independently driving the work forward. You have the ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. You are attentive in contact with others and have a natural ability to understand others' perspectives and situations without losing professional integrity. The work demands good communication skills, which includes the ability to express yourself clearly and structured both verbally and in writing. Of course, you are also engaged and want to actively participate in developing work for the benefit of those we serve. We place great importance on personal suitability. Requirements: • Social Work degree (210 credits) • Class B driver's license Meritorious: • Documented experience working with official authority in social services, case management, and investigation • Experience working with Children's Needs in Focus (BBIC) • Experience with Motivational Interviewing (MI) • Documented experience in conversations with children and young people •
