About this role
The position is located within the Social Administration, which is one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for authority exercise, ordering services, and in-house operations in the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. We ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to. Do you want to brighten everyday life and improve the quality of life for the residents of Linköping? With us, you can make a significant difference and contribute to making Linköping a better place. Welcome to us!
Your Responsibilities
As a social worker at Parents-Infants Hagadal, you will be part of an experienced team of seven employees, three of whom are employed by Region Östergötland. We work together to provide expectant and new parents with the support they need to create a safe and close relationship with their child.
You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues in family work and group activities. Your role includes planning, implementing, and following up on treatment interventions in close dialogue with families. The work is characterized by a holistic perspective that takes the entire family's life situation into account.
We offer support in various forms; individual conversations, couple sessions, parent discussions, group activities, and interaction treatment. Some of the support is provided on-site at the facility, but it can also be given in the family's home environment.
The treatment focuses on the interaction between parent and child, aiming to strengthen attachment and create good conditions for the child's development. In this role, you will also contribute to the ongoing development of the operations by working evidence-based and sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues.
Your Workplace
Parents-Infants Hagadal is a joint operation between the Social Administration of Linköping Municipality and Region Östergötland. The service has been in existence for over 30 years and is located in central Linköping. We cater to families who are expecting or have recently had a child and who need extra support during pregnancy and the infant period. The goal is to strengthen parental capacity and create a secure attachment between children and parents.
We are a small group where everyone contributes their experiences and learns from each other. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop, both as a professional and together with colleagues. Working hours are scheduled during the day with flexible working hours.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with parents, infants, and families. You need to have a degree in social work or another higher education qualification that the employer deems equivalent, as well as experience in treatment work with parents and children or family work.
It is advantageous if you have completed Level 1 psychotherapy training and have experience working with any of our methods, such as ADBB (Alarm Distress Baby Scale), Circle of Security, ICDP (International Child Development Programme), Marte Meo, PYC (Parenting Young Children), family therapy, or group activities with parents and children. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
We seek someone who thrives in an independent role where you plan and drive your work forward. You are self-assured, have a strong ability to build trusting relationships, and collaborate well with others. You contribute with engagement, reflection, and an inclusive approach, and you have the courage to try new working methods that advance the operations.
