About this role

**Description** As an employee of Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator in your workplace. You are given the opportunity and are expected to contribute to the development of the organization through your knowledge and experience. Here, respect for diversity and the equal value of all individuals are fundamental principles. The Authority Unit – Care and Support is responsible for assistance investigations according to the Social Services Act (SoL) with applications within care and support. The unit also handles fee processing and coordination of the Act on Choice of Provider (LOV). It is a wonderful workplace with employees of varying ages and genders, characterized by a lack of pretentiousness, openness, security, trust, and confidence between employees and leaders. The unit is centrally located in Gislaved, just 300 meters from the bus station and grocery store, and close to restaurants and shops. Free parking is available. At Gislaved Municipality, we care about ensuring that all employees feel healthy and well. As an employee, you have free access to the municipality's swimming pool, subsidized wellness programs, and an active staff club that offers many activities. Flexible working hours are applied in the unit, and we have a flexible approach to remote work. **Job Responsibilities** As a social worker within the Authority Unit for Care and Support (assistance officer), you will investigate and decide on interventions based on the Social Services Act. You will operate according to applicable guidelines and procedures and are responsible for conducting investigations, making decisions, and sending orders to providers in a legally secure manner. The work also includes follow-up and reassessment of previously decided interventions, as well as contacts with other authorities and organizations both internally and externally. The social workers in the unit work in various teams where cases are distributed to enable an even workload, and we support each other where needed, which requires you to be adaptable in your work and prioritize according to current conditions. The user perspective is central, and as an employee, you will truly benefit from your expertise as a social worker within social services. Authority exercise must go hand in hand with empathy and constructive collaboration, but also with clarity and methodology that the social worker is expected to uphold. Therefore, we emphasize that you are a person who combines your commitment with a calm demeanor and the ability to prioritize and structure your work. You meet people with respect and manage your authority role responsibly by focusing on and analyzing the information and knowledge that is most essential for handling your cases in various situations. You will receive support from team leaders and colleagues who all possess a great joy for work, experience, competence, creativity, and empathetic ability. **Qualifications** To succeed and thrive in this role, we expect you to have a degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer (requirement). Experience in authority exercise and/or experience in care and support work is a requirement. A good understanding of other legislation that governs and regulates the operations is also required. We also expect you to have experience with IBIC and/or the operational system Pulsen Combine. Personal qualities and suitability are of great importance. A valid driver's license (B) is required for this position. Your role as an employee is closely linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in your and the organization's development. With us, this means you maintain good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both in your own workplace and throughout the municipal group. You engage with everyone at a high service level, with kindness and quality through a customer and service focus. You take responsibility for being involved in operational matters and are solution-oriented. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that your view on employee participation aligns with ours. We conduct background checks (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability assessment for all individuals offered employment in roles that involve direct and regular contact with children and youth. Do you want to be part of our success? We welcome your application! At Gislaved Municipality, full-time employment is a right, and therefore, job vacancies* are advertised as full-time. When the organization can accommodate part-time work, it is of course an option. *Positions shorter than 3 months and certain roles may be exempt. In preparation for the recruitment process, Gislaved Municipality has made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore kindly request no contact from media sales representatives, recruitment sites, or similar.
