The Social Administration has a broad area of responsibility that includes authority exercises and preventive measures, with a reception and investigation unit, outpatient care, family law, financial assistance, and an operational unit that works with preventive measures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will:
• Provide advice and guidance to residents who contact the unit, primarily via phone.
• Conduct visits with residents applying for financial assistance.
• Investigate and process applications for financial assistance and make decisions in accordance with current legislation.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders such as the addiction unit, the children and youth unit, and the region/care services to provide residents with coordinated support.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills and enjoy working administratively.
Previous experience in authority exercises related to financial assistance and/or reception work within social services, or a good understanding of the Swedish social insurance system, is an advantage.
Basic training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) is also a merit.
