Children and Family in Southwest consists of three investigation units with three teams each.
Each team has a Chief Social Worker and is led by a Unit Manager. We are keen to ensure you get a good start in your role as a Social Worker and get off to the best possible start. In each investigation unit, there is a Social Worker with a specific assignment to be responsible for introducing new employees in addition to your Chief Social Worker. This means you will receive well-adapted support and an individual introduction plan tailored to your experience during your first time with us. You will be gradually introduced to the work with good support from the Social Worker with a special assignment, your supervisor, and your team. We offer method support, external supervision, and in-depth training in case management, documentation, and legal matters. We are an investigation unit with experience that strives to develop and has several development groups where you can specialize in specific areas.
Work Tasks
As a Social Worker with us, you will work with children between 0-18 years old and their parents. You will conduct preliminary assessments, investigations, and follow-ups of various interventions, such as open care, contact persons, contact families, and placements in residential care and foster homes under Social Services Act (SoL) and Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). Our primary focus is to prioritize the child's best interests and the user's needs.

We are located near Frölunda Torg in a child and youth house where intake, municipal units, foster homes, and child secretaries have their offices. The workplace has shared office rooms with a colleague and a few individual rooms. We have a close and good collaboration with our large resource center located nearby.

Qualifications
We are seeking someone with experience in child and youth municipal authority work and a B driver's license. Experience in child and youth municipal authority work is a requirement. Experience in municipal authority work in other areas is advantageous.
