At our Economic Assistance Unit, we focus on the needs of our clients. Our goal is to strengthen individuals' paths to independence and self-sufficiency through increased client participation. We work in modern facilities in Sundbyberg City Hall, located in Hallonbergen, and collaborate closely with other welfare and care units.
The unit consists of 14 social workers, four administrative case managers, one investigation case manager, and a case manager for estate and personal funds. We also have two team leaders offering close and coaching leadership, as well as a unit manager responsible for operations, personnel, and budget.
We regularly host social work students for their work-integrated learning and internship program. In total, we are 23 employees forming an engaged and competent work team.

Our unit works with both short-term and long-term economic assistance cases, aiming to provide professional support focusing on individual opportunities and independence.
As a social worker, you'll be part of a team of social workers and administrative case managers. Your work involves creating change for our clients through social transformation work. You have an interest in developing the organization together with other employees. We offer all new employees professional development and support in daily work.
Your tasks include investigating and assessing economic assistance eligibility, but most importantly, working on social transformation that mobilizes and develops the applicant's own abilities and competence. There should be a clear child and client perspective in our work, with the goal that our employees feel participation and pride in their work. Administrative case managers support you to free up time for social transformation work.
We are looking for candidates with a social work degree, with experience in economic assistance authorities being advantageous. Knowledge and experience with motivational interviewing (MI), assessment instrument X, and case management system Combine are desired.
We seek someone responsible, flexible, and open with excellent collaboration skills. You should have an exceptional ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. We place great importance on personal maturity and suitability.
