The Child Unit consists of a unit manager and two investigation groups, each with a group leader. The group leader manages our employees in daily work. The Child Unit employs social workers with diverse backgrounds and competencies, which we see as a strength. We have a strong focus on children's participation and treatment. The introduction is most intensive during your first year of employment. This includes both individual support and method and process development in larger groups. As a social worker, you will be offered a Signs of Safety introductory training. You will have access to internal and external supervision and the opportunity to take part in the city's extensive training offerings. We apply winter and summer working hours and flexible time. First, you will meet with the manager/group leader for an interview, followed by a meeting with social workers in the unit. Your Role You will work in one of our investigation groups, conducting investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to SoL and LVU for children 0-12 years and their families. The work as a social worker is varied and significant. You will conduct investigations according to SoL and LVU and follow up on approved interventions. We work according to BBiC (Children's Needs in Focus) and Signs of Safety, supported by EARL and MI (motivational interviewing). The work also involves close collaboration with both internal and external partners such as preschool, school, child healthcare, child and adolescent psychiatry, and police, among others. You will be part of a learning organization and have the opportunity to contribute to the proactive adaptation of our long-term approach to meet future social services with early, preventive, and high-quality interventions for our target groups. Your Competence and Experience We are seeking someone who has: - Social work degree - Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing - Experience as a social worker in child and youth authority It is meritorious to have: - Training and experience working with Signs of Safety - Training in child conversations - Training and experience with risk assessment instruments EARL, I-risk As a social worker, you need to be secure and stable and have a high degree of personal maturity. You need to have good empathetic abilities and be able to create good relationships with children and their families, as well as all parties you collaborate with. You work both independently and structuredly by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well.
