About the role and responsibilities
We are seeking a social worker for a team that works with new applications. The primary task as a social worker in financial assistance involves contributing to self-sufficiency for individuals based on a motivational interviewing (MI) inspired approach. Meanwhile, we investigate, assess, and decide on the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act. The role requires collaboration with other relevant parties, both internally and externally. We offer supervision and further development through relevant training. The work also includes processing estate declarations.
We are looking for you who
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and knowledge of applicable legislation in the field. We expect you to have experience working with financial support or other governmental duties deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience with motivational interviewing (MI) is an advantage. To succeed in your role, you need to be solution-focused and see opportunities in people's potential for development. You should have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards both the individuals you meet in your work and your colleagues and external partners. You can quickly adapt to changes in work and prioritize according to current conditions. The tasks require you to be self-sufficient, but you also see the work group as an asset. The job also requires you to be structured and capable of handling administrative tasks.
Good experience with IT systems and a strong ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing are necessary, as the work involves documentation and administration.
