The position is located within the Social Administration, which is one of eight departments in the municipality of Linköping. The Social Administration is responsible for exercising authority, ordering services, and providing direct operations in the areas of individual and family care, LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Your Responsibilities We know that a good introduction contributes to high legal security in the work. It also ensures that new employees feel secure and comfortable in their professional role, have good relationships with their colleagues, and know who to turn to with questions. A thorough orientation can also reduce staff turnover as it increases the likelihood that new employees will remain in their positions longer. This is why we are now investing even more in the introduction of new employees by hiring a social worker with a mentorship role. This is a new position within the adult department, which means you will have the opportunity to help shape the assignment, but primarily it will involve: • Introducing and supporting new employees in accordance with the mentorship program, which includes: - Overview of the case process - Preliminary assessments - Investigations, decision-making documentation, care plans - Analysis and assessments - Follow-ups, interventions/placements - Documentation according to Sosfs - Introduction to IBIC (Individual Basic Information and Care) - Understanding what it means to be an authority case manager • Supporting the case manager in becoming secure and independent in their role • Initially accompanying visits and meetings to later provide constructive feedback • Planning and structuring work Your Workplace The department is responsible for exercising authority for adults aged 21 and above within individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. The department also has a mandate to conduct interventions in-house and procure services to meet clients' needs. Currently, there are approximately 50 employees in the authority, plus six senior social workers and four unit managers. Working hours are weekdays from 07:50-17:00 and 07:50-16:00 during the summer months, with flexible working hours. Possibility for remote work is available by agreement, when deemed appropriate based on business needs and personal circumstances. We work in an activity-based environment and are located in newly renovated, fresh office landscapes on Drottninggatan 45. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or behavioral sciences, with completed courses in social work, social law, administrative law, and psychology. For this position, we require experience in exercising authority within SoL (the Social Services Act). Experience with LSS, LVM (the Care of Abusers Act), and IBIC is considered an advantage. Since the role involves mentorship, we prefer candidates with experience in similar roles. The position involves communication with both internal and external contacts, as well as guidance in documentation, which requires excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working with the operational system Treserva is also regarded as beneficial. You should be adaptable to changing circumstances and able to shift perspectives and approaches depending on the situation. You must have the ability to empathize with others without taking over their emotions and possess good pedagogical skills, adjusting your communication style based on individuals' varying circumstances.
